The spaceDriving through the grounds of the Old Rectory gives you a sense of grandeur. The house stands in the middle of the grounds overlooking the magnificent village church on one side. The gardens are secluded with the patio, pool area and play area all on the south side of the house, having full sun all day. The front of the house has the large parking area and a lovely flat lawn with the trampoline, football goals and a great space for children to play ball games. There is parking for 20 plus cars.
On entering the house, straight away you feel the luxury that awaits with a large welcoming hallway and various rooms leading off from this.
Sink your feet into the carpet as you go through to the very elegant sitting room, which looks out onto one of the patio areas with an amazing water fountain (switched off in the winter months) a wood burner and 72 inch TV, allowing for great evening entertainment. The next room is the snug which also has a log burner, TV and views over the garden. Also on the ground floor is a welcome treat for children – a lovely play room with a TV. Every room has a TV where you can log in your own Netflix or Amazon accounts.
The Tom Howley kitchen is elegant, modern and fully equipped with everything you might need for your stay. A separate utility room with a cloakroom, washing machine and tumble dryer, microwave and wine fridge. There are doors from the kitchen out onto one of the patio areas and also another cloakroom leading off from the kitchen.
Heading outside you will find a pretty terrace with garden furniture, just perfect for al fresco dining or a spot of stargazing over the church. The gardens and views are peaceful with plenty to watch and hear the lovely water fountain from a built-up stone area with extra seating; the perfect spot to lose yourself in a book or enjoy a nice glass of wine on those warmer summer nights.
There are two separate patio areas for al fresco dining, catching the sun at different times during the day and a gas BBQ to enjoy any time of the year. There are two wonderful large stone waterfalls on the patios and a rectangle raised fishpond which mesmerises the kids for hours to the right of the front door.
For those little ones there is a wonderful fenced area for children to play in safely with artificial grass, there are a few steps up to it, so children will still need to be supervised.
